APRIL DUNN - Mortgage Strategies Coach
April began her career in the financial services industry working as a Managing Supervisor for a consumer finance company in the 80’s. This is where she got her first introduction to the mortgage industry and found her passion as she hired and trained new recruits to the industry. Many of April’s “pupils” can be found in the management ranks of many financial institutions.
She has had many roles in this industry including Branch Manager of a large credit union, Residential Mortgage Manager with a major financial institution, Real Estate Agent and licensed Mortgage professional. The combination of this knowledge along with her expertise in Retail Sales Management and marketing has resulted in April herself being a consistent top-producer. Her enthusiasm, motivational skills and knowledge has always encouraged growth within her teams.
After almost 4 years away from originating mortgages, April returned to her roots in late 2009 when she moved to a brand new marketplace and started her business from scratch. In 2010, her first full year back in the business, April was awarded the Masters Award by Mortgage Alliance for originating almost $15 million in volume.
Prior to returning to originating mortgages, April held senior management roles with a sub-prime lender and a major technology supplier to the mortgage industry.
April started CFM Marketing Solutions in 2008 as she recognized a need for someone to provide guidance and assistance to Mortgage Professionals. Assistance from someone who has actively worked in the industry who can understand the challenges of the industry. A coach who is not just selling theories but who actually walks in the shoes of her clients. April works with mortgage brokers who are new members of this community and seasoned professionals who need to put the “enthusiasm” back into their businesses.
With a true passion and desire to help Mortgage Professionals reach their income goals and to design the business of their dreams, April teaches relationship-based marketing strategies with products, seminars, coaching and training.
